What kind of photo works best?
Almost any photo. We've engraved blurry phone snaps from 2008, professional studio shots, screenshots from videos, and old prints scanned in.
What we look for:
- Pet's face clearly visible
- Eyes facing the camera (or close to it)
- Decent lighting (not in pitch dark, not severely backlit)
What we fix for free: background removal, contrast, slight blur, color shifts, mild over/underexposure.
If your photo really won't work, we'll email you within 24 hours and ask for an alternative — before charging you for the work.
Will I see a proof before you engrave?
Yes — always. After we process your photo, we send you a digital proof showing exactly how the engraving will look inside the crystal. You approve it, then we engrave.
If something needs to change, we revise as many times as needed at no extra cost. Memorial pieces deserve patience.
How long does it take from order to delivery?

Can I include multiple pets in one sphere?
Yes. We can engrave up to 3 pets in one sphere if you have a group photo — or, if you have separate photos, we can compose them into a single image.
For 3+ pets we recommend the 10cm size for clarity. For 2 pets, the 8cm works beautifully.
Add a note in the order ("composite please") or email us with the photos.
Will the engraving fade or yellow over time?
No. Our K9 optical crystal is sub-surface engraved, meaning the image is physically inside the crystal — not printed on the surface.
It cannot fade, peel, scratch off, or change color. As long as the crystal isn't dropped on a hard surface, your PawMemoir will look identical in 50 years as it does the day it arrives.
Can this work for non-pets? (humans, ultrasounds, family photos)
Absolutely. We've engraved:

What's the difference between USB and rechargeable LED bases?
Both bases light up the sphere from below with a soft warm glow.
- USB-powered (default, included): connects via USB cable to any wall adapter, computer, or USB hub. Always-on, reliable, no battery to manage.
- Rechargeable battery (+€8 upgrade): cordless. Charges via USB-C, holds 6-8 hours of glow. Better if you want to move the sphere around or display it without nearby outlets.
Both have the same LED quality and lighting.
How do I clean and care for it?
Easy. Microfiber cloth + a tiny amount of glass cleaner or mild soap and water. No harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges.
The wooden base is treated wood — wipe with a slightly damp cloth, dry immediately. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (the wood may darken slightly over years).
The crystal itself is virtually indestructible against environmental factors — the only thing to avoid is dropping it on a hard surface.
Can I order in bulk for a memorial event or business?
